Lunchtime Update: 11-06-21


Just a quick word on what's coming in the next update, which is going to be 0.10, instead of 0.02. The reason for this is due to the decision being made to just complete the rest of chapter 1 all at once. With the exception of the sprites for one character, the rest are done, so render turn arounds should be faster. For instance, Dominique has over 30 sprites alone, and there is going to be several characters with a full set of sprites. So that's a ballpark of 150 right there. Since those are all just about done, the focus can be put on backgrounds (which usually take less time than anything with a character model in it), and unique scene renders (*wink*). A few of the new scenes will be rather complicated, and might take a few days each, but it won't be too bad. Hopefully the update can get released sometime around the end of November/ start of December. Here's a list of everything you can expect:

  • Slight design tweak for Carmina. She will no longer have eyes that look like polished smoky glass marbles.
  • Carmina is also getting tweaks to her poses and expressions.
  • Customized UI aesthetic.
  • 50+ new renders
  • Grammar and spelling fixes.
  • Complete chapter 1, entailing at least a couple of hours of gameplay (depending on your reading speed)
  • Other bits and bobs
